Fireflies is an original song featuring Shirahane Totoko released on July 7, 2016. It is featured in the album Welcome to Hell.

Background

If the song itself is for all audiences, the story itself is not.

The song is inspired by Mion from the game Hotaru no Nikki (abbregiated into "htoL#NiQ"), helped by two fireflies called Umbra and Lumen (Hotaru and Kage Hotaru in Japanese) to uncover her past and to get out from a place full of traps and starting to progressively glitch out. She then finds out she is not the real Mion, she is just a clone, while the real Mion doesn't agree with her clones existing.
